Desroches:
The diving here is rich and varies between walls, tunnels and caves. The multitudes of fish of many different species accounts for the fame of the Desroches Drop.Surrounded by coral reef, Desroches is the largest of the Amirantes archipelago; 193km southwest of Mahé, an hour by air on several scheduled flights per week. Desroches is part of huge lagoon. Most of the rim of the lagoon is
fully submerged which provides excellent diving conditions. The island has been well developed with timber and coconut plantations. There is a small village of about 50 people while the lodge has 20 chalets and offers exciting water sports and diving.
